Stevenage are you ready?

We are proud to announce East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage have taken on a Your Town “Get Together” franchise & will soon launch with a run in October 2019. Working with other local partners they are looking forward to connecting with the Stevenage community. They East & North Hertfordshire Hospital Charity exists to support the work of the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

Our charity fundraises for projects to support patients at the Lister, New QEII, Hertford County Hospital and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. We provide funding for vital research, state of the art medical equipment and staff training so that our staff can deliver the best care. As well as this we carry out refurbishment and building projects to make our Hospital family friendly to patients and visitors and enhance their experience.

Some of the key projects we are fundraising for at the moment include our big build to raise funds for a brand new families room on the neonatal unit at Lister, Butterfly Service to provide companionship to end of life patients and a brand new piece of equipment that will treat patients with prostate cancer and other urological conditions so we really do cover a wide spectrum!

For more information about our impact please visit our website I have attached our impact report to give you an idea of how we have made a difference locally but to give you an idea we want to try and raise over £2.2 million this year so we can fund even more projects.

Our charity is all about going and beyond for patients, providing extraordinary care and improving health and wellbeing in our community so I think our partnership will work tremendously.

One of our main objectives is to engage with our 5000 members of Trust staff, 700 volunteers and thousands of patients at our Hospitals so this will be the perfect event to encourage them to get fit and active and give back to their local Hospital Charity.
