We are so excited to launch the very first Your Town 5k run in the great town of Irthlingborough NN9
Join the NN9 Community, connect offline and enjoy a local 5k run supporting a great local charity.
We would love you to run with us on Sunday 8th May 2022 at 9am.
The inaugural Irthlingborough NN9 5k run/walk starts and finishes at the recreation ground and aims to create a strong sense of community by attracting a cross section of local people joining in and running together socially.
Local people are also invited to join others to raise funds/awareness for the mayors charity
Irthlingborough is a town along the picturesque River Nene and has a population of 8,900 (as per the 2011 census).
St Peters Church has a lantern tower which is unusual for Northamptonshire churches and is a key attraction for visitors.
The Town has a rich long shoe producing history having been the home of Dr Martins shoes, interesting archaeology and is surrounded by nature reserves on either side Irthlingborough Lakes & Meadows and Stanwick Lakes.
The run route will take you through the Town from the main park of the recreation ground and out onto the Green Way and then back into the Town.

THE LOCAL CAUSE THE NN9 COMMUNITY will RUN FOR…
Irthlingborough Youth Club
Irthlingborough Youth Club is a safe and fun environment for young people from Irthlingborough and the surrounding area to have fun with their friends.
We promote independence by running an unstructured model. There are a number of options for what members can do and leaders are on hand to support as required.
Fundraising is very important to the club because it only charges £1 per week in order to be accessible as possible – and the Club Leader can waive this fee entirely for those facing financial hardship.
