We Came. We Ran. We Swam.
Our 5th Annual EN11 Run Around!
The 5th Annual Give Your Town The Run Around will be remembered as the first time anyone ever saw the Mayor’s chain worn over a red raincoat (Click to see the photo!). We were amazed and humbled by the 600+ runners who turned out to run in torrential rain on Sunday. For those who didn’t make it along, we entirely understand. For those who did – each and every one of you is a hero in our eyes!
Overwhelmingly the feedback we’ve been getting is that, ‘despite the rain’, everyone had a phenomenal time, runners and spectators included. Huge thanks go to our 50+ team of volunteers who brought a huge energy and positivity to the course, high-fiving runners as they passed and ensuring everyone had an enjoyable and safe experience. If you’d like to give your personal thanks to our volunteers, please comment on this Facebook post and we’ll make sure they see it!
Now without further ado, we know you’ve all been waiting for…
We are proud that the Hoddesdon Run Around was the heartbeat of the UK’s first ever National Town Day.
It’s all about showcasing what can be achieved when local people come together in town! #CommunityMakers
